MEET THE JUDGE
Edgar Pertl (SV)
Birthday: 02.11.1958
Familiy status: married, two grown-up children
Professional career: elementary teacher and owner of a boarding kennel
Member of SV since 1969
SVÖ – Trial judge since 1994
SV – Trial judge since 2000
SVÖ – Show judge since 2007
SV – Show judge since 2010
Körmeister since 2010
Breed warden of Austria since 2018
In 1968 my father started breeding German Shepherds under the affix "vom Haus Willerau". I took over the kennel in the mid-90s, and have had about 30 litters since that time. In my youth I worked as helper in different Championships, at Siegerschau and breed surveys.
I own seven dogs and train them by myself. I enter different competitions and small tournaments every year. Several times I took part in the universal winner. With my oldest male dog I entered the IGP3 test 18 times. My aim is to breed healthy and anatomically correctly established dogs which are eager to work. Currently I have three females for breeding. With my mating partners I pay particular attention to health and a good temperament.
In 1997 I became chairman of the OG Oberwart (Burgenland) - a local club with about 90 members.
In 2018 I took over the office of the federal Breed warden in Austria.
Every year I judge shows, trials and breed surveys in different countries around the world.
With best regards,
Edgar Pertl
MEET THE HELPERS
The Helpers will be selected during tryouts on Thursday, May 23rd, by the Judge
However, we want to highlight and show-off ALL the individuals brave enough to tryout for this event, so please enjoy!
We will post which Helpers were selected as soon as they are determined

GUILLAUME BEAURENT
My name is Guillaume Beaurent, I was born in Belgium. I had the chance to start dog sport when I was 14 years old as my parents were breeders of Briards. In 2008 I obtained my helper certification, and two months later I achieved my National Level certification. I had the opportunity to be selected for the All Breed National Championships in 2009, 2016, 2018 and 2021. I was also selected for the National Championship for the Belgian Malinois in 2009, 2016, 2019. I was also chosen for the VVDH German Shepherd National Championship helper in 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2023. In 2018 and 2019 I was a helper for the DVG Regional Championship, and was the reserve helper for the DVG National Championship in Germany in 2019. I have had the opportunity to be the helper of dogs who have competed at the WUSV for Belgium, and I am also the helper of the 'Canadian Helper Choice 2023' Hasco von Wallerhorstm, owned by Russ Fox. I wish all competitors and helpers good luck for this competition and to achieve their goals for 2024.

GOBEI RAMENDRA
I was introduced to Schutzhund in 2018. My journey as a Helper started from day one in the sport. I was fortunate enough to join Rogue Working Dog Alliance in Ottawa, where I was able to learn how to become a Helper by getting experience working with world level handlers and their top-level dogs.
Since moving to Southern Ontario, I have had the opportunity to work many trails at other Clubs and have further improved my skills and experience as a Trial Helper.
After meeting the GSSCC Helper Certification Program requirements, I received my certification as a Regional level helper in the fall of 2023.
Every time I walk onto the field as a helper, I put everything I have into making sure my performance is safe and consistent, while also ensuring I provide the best picture for dogs to be successful and for judges to accurately assess the work of the dogs.
I take great pride in my helper work and enjoy working dogs and giving back to the organization and our sport. I look forward to trying out for the 2024 Ontario Regionals.

JACK DINSMORE
Most of you know me, but for those that don't, my name is Jack Dinsmore. I have been a certified helper since 2010. I am also a handler, and a club helper for TOP working dog club. I was selected to do first Regionals in 2015, and since then I have been selected for a total of five Regional events, three National events, and too many club trials to mention.
When I step on the field I take the responsibility of a helper very seriously, with safety my number one priority, but also believe that it is important to put adequate pressure on the dog so the judge can make a fair assessment of the teams.
Good luck to everyone that enters and all helpers that are trying out.

JAMES SILER
My name is James Siler (aka James Fanta). I’m a Regional level helper who enjoys long walks on the beach, sunsets, beer, and baked goods. I’ve helped many IGP teams and clubs in this wonderful sport. Hope to see y’all at Regionals!

JIM HOOPER
My name is Jim Hooper. I am a proud member of the TOP working dog club since 2017. Last year I had the privilege of being selected to be the front half helper for our Regionals. I am looking forward for another chance to showcase the dogs at this years Regionals.
